I am currently trying to install a module that will allow me to forecast financial projections for my company and output that data in the form of a chart. I have been unable to find any that works so far. I installed this FusionCharts module and all dependencies, enabled the modules and followed all README instructions. When trying to create a FusionChart content type node, the required dropdown menu for Chart Type is not populating with anything. It seem that it is getting passed a null value for some reason. I did notice that the example chart function does work so I am assuming that everything is installed correctly. Can someone please help me out here? Thanks

Can you try reinstalling the main fusioncharts module. There is a system variable that set which lists the charts. I've seen this error before but have no idea why this variable occasionally does not set.

Yes I will re-install the module and see if it fixes it. Thanks for the quick response.

I re-installed the module and I am still getting a null value for the dropdown. This really sucks.

jcrawford27,
I had similar problem.
Do you have any other modules that might use FusionCharts as a feature? Like the Charts module? If so, uninstall it completely. This step helped me.
I then reinstalled FusionCharts and they work.

I have checked that. There are no other chart modules installed that fusion charts would conflict with. Oh well I am not going to worry about it anymore I have wasted too much time with it already. Every chart module I have found so far does not work and is crap. I guess I will have to custom code my own chart module. It will probably be faster than trying to debug any of these other modules that have terrible or no documentation. Thanks for you help though.

I've changed the way that this drop down is populated as it appears that the previous method, although nothing special, was unreliable

@jcrawford27 This module is currently a development release, so don't expect perfection. You are welcome to write your own module if you want, but I think that you will find that collaboration is better then duplication in the long run.
