Enabling Javascript Aggregator with gallery embedded breaks the 'delete item' dialogue / confirmation which is normally activated when choosing the 'delete item' option from the drop down menus beneath items. It is still possible to delete items by choosing 'delete items' from the sidebar - but this isn't as user friendly or always visible - plus the broken delete item option cannot be hidden.
Gallery module lets you specify an alternate theme for gallery pages - so a workaround is simply to use a theme without the Javascript Aggregator code.
I think I read somewhere that JS is now already compressed since 2.3 release of gallery - so perhaps a fix isn't necessary - but a notify in the Javascript Aggregator documentation would be very useful.

derjochenmeyer commenteddid you try to exclude the js files of the gallery module?

yes - I did, although I wasn't sure I got the path right - or the name of the relevant files. Either way - due to various necessary tweaks I have to use a separate theme for gallery anyway so this workaround is fine.
