My brother and me can work on this task... firts to spanish.

This modules interface is completelly translatable. The JavaScript part too.
We would be happy to have more translations.

There is more than one way to get Drupal interface translated.
The easiest is to use Localization Server.

You can see here http://drupal.org/project/l10n_server that there are both Spanish (http://l10n.drupal.org.es/) and Catalan (http://drupal.cat/) Drupal tranalation teams and servers. You need to cantact them to get prog_gallery module listed on the server. And then you can use a convenient translation interface that the l10n_server provides.

I don't think there is a need to maintain translation files in the module.

BTW, Latvian translation for prog_gallery is already available at l10n.drupal.lv.
