Becoming a new maintainer on User Delete module (for 6.x branch) [#391582]

Thanks for this great module. Also thanks to the group supplying a patch to get it working in 6.x

I would like to become a co-maintainer on the project so I could actively advance the 6.x branch and put out an actual release.

I know that Drupal 7 will have this baked in (finally) but Drupal 6 will be around for many years and this is a vital module for almost any community site.

I have done a number of modifications of the base, patched code and would love to roll this back into the community.

Some of the changes I have done are:

removed the Delete User tab on the user's page
created a new menu item that takes user to a form to delete their acccount
Radio buttons to determine what to do with their content once account is deleted
- Keep content created by user but attribute to anonymous
- Delete all content that user created
A tick box that must be selected to confirm the deletion

Sorry for the radio silence... I am just finishing up a major project.

In saying that, I am working on the code right now to make it a bit more generic and will have something posted by the end of the day or tomorrow.

meenakshi: not the right place... don't hijack threads. you can patch the 5.x version of the user delete module with a patch provided here: http://drupal.org/node/333460 or you can wait until davidseth releases his d6 version ;)
