As administrator, when I got to Administer->Users->Edit (some user)->Notifications then click on any of the options (say "Content Type" to update that user to subscribe to any changes some content, for example), an Access denied message is returned. I would think the Administrator would be able to perform that action. Thanks.

I have the same issue. Ours is a family site and I have logged in as another user and found out that as that user, there is no Notifications tab in his/her profile page. Something doesn't seem right. But when I am logged in as an Admin, I have the Notifications tab in my own profile. Not only that but, as Hoople said, I see the Notifications tab in all users profiles (when I access their profile from within my Admin account), but get an access denied message when I click on any of the options. I had assumed that atleast to start with I would be able to subscribe all users of the site to node creation/update (quite different from automatically setting their profile to "auto-subscribe" which only applies to subscriptions to content THEY post on the site).

Just wanted to say thanks to Jose for contributing the module(s). It's a tireless task that you do for the benefit of the Drupal community and I am grateful.

Thanks,
Kenneth

When I am logged in as the root user and edit another user's account, I can see the Notifications Tab, but when I click on a subcategory of notifications, e.g. "Author," I don't see "access denied" - I get a page that says "There are no active author subscriptions," even when there is one.

Can anyone enlighten me if the inability to see the "Notifications" tab on non-admin users' profile page is a bug, shortcoming or somehow I have not enabled it somewhere and hence I am not able to see it?

One of the primary reasons for my having installed the module (and its dependent modules) was for me to able to subscribe all members to atleast node creation at my site. I am not able to do this, either from my admin account nor even by logging in as a non-admin, another-member user.

Kind regards,
Kenneth

Interestingly enough, my issue went away with time. I can now, as administrator, edit other users notifications. I am unsure what fixed the bug but it may be that upgrading core to 6.10 fixed it. But its all working now. Curious to other peoples experience as well. Very cool module. Thanks.

I don't think it is related to Drupal core update, its just been a side effect of some other improvement...
