Won't delay, frames not working

OK, where do I start?

Besides the call-time pass-by-reference warning, which was easy enough to fix, I can't get a node with this field in it to delay, and if I put the linked site in a frame, the top frame is broken.

If I set the field to delay, then I visit the node and it just sits there and does nothing, never does redirect.

If I set it to frameset, then it pulls up the external site in a frame, but apparently the module has the URL for the top frame hardcoded, and that URL does not work if the Drupal installation does not have clean URLs enabled.
