When a user is permitted just a single term and if a vocab. term is required, I'd like to have that pre-selected on the add/edit node form (and possibly even hidden), rather than require the user to perform an unnecessary mouse-click. Seems like it should be simple but I'm not finding it.

Seems like a good idea to me.
