Can this module provide a 'sort criteria' to views ?
somthing like "most popular nodes for the past week, month, and year" ?
this would be a great feature, and will allow the module to displayed in blocks.

This is an interesting idea, but I'm just learning how to interact with Views as I integrate one of my other modules with it. Views presents a fairly complicated API. I also want to be sure that what you're requesting here is not also available from Views itself. It's been a while since your request was posted (sorry about that), and Views itself has been updated several times.

I may not get time to implement this in the Drupal 6 version but will consider it for the upcoming Drupal 7 version of HOF.
