Here are some of the initial ideas we have for integration between F1 and Drupal:
Unified login – share logins between F1 and Drupal, so that once logged in they can comment, access
restricted or personalized areas of the web site or make contributions, register for events, etc.
Social networking tie in…Facebook app?
Connect participation/interest from Internet campus and online classes to attendance/contact in F1.
Tying small groups (or other types of groups) with content (small group materials, bible studies, etc.)
Communications workflow – connecting news, events, schedule and activities in one place.

timbednar commentedThe most request integration I get is...
* Events
* Signup/register for events
* Pay for events
* Download event attendee lists
* Send emails to event attendees
If with single sign-on, I could do this for clients. There would be more and more clients who'd find F1 compelling.

burgs commentedI'm hoping for some sort of link between user profiles on Drupal and personal attributes on F1. So when a person changes their phone number in Drupal, it changes in F1 and vice versa.
Obviously, single sign on would be amazing/necessary too.

thulcandra commentedSingle sign on with weblink is the biggest single feature we'd like to see. We are redoing our church site in Drupal (dev site http://dev.hopeingod.org) and would love to be able to give users a single account for everything.
Another big one would be allowing users to set/reset attributes, so that we could implement a newsletter subscription/unsubscription mechanism.

burgs commentedHey @amitry,
just wondering if there was a time frame on when things are going to start getting going on this? Are you going to implement a whole bunch and then release? Or are you going to release a simple module based on the API, and then try and get the community to help out?
Thanks

thulcandra commentedI just read on the Experience F1 site that someone's already started work on this, and has some pieces working:

mfer commented@timbednar - The module as it sits in dev should allow users to login with their F1 credentials. I would use it with a module like the Secure Pages module to make sure the F1 user/pass is not sniffed. Currently the F1 api does not do events. When i does it would be great to support.
@burgs I created the issue #897030: Updated F1 info through Drupal for updating user info in Drupal for F1.
@thulcandra What's in dev can do weblink login. The default is for portal login. On the admin settings page you can set it to weblink.
@plloyd Please test and find bugs in the code. It's a start.
Future requests/bugs should be filed as individual tickets so each can be worked.
