How do I create my own template? Is php knowledge required? Any other resources on Drupal themes? Any standard?

Thx

If you're starting right now, I think the best is to have a look at XTemplate in the themes folder and edit the .css file

I agree... Modify Xtemplate

This is what I did. I liked the Interlaced look and feel, but wanted some of the features of Xtemplate (and I like the fact that Xtemplate is part of the core). So I just made changes to the .css and created the look and feel I wanted: http://www.frazierhome.net . On first glance it looks very much like Style 1 of Interlaced.

I'll post the new .css file I created and let people know where its at.

Now that I've done this, I have some ideas I want to play around with to create another variation on this.

I've posted my modified XTemplate CSS if anyone wants to look at it or use it: frazierhome_xtemplate.css
