Issue Summary
When creating a page, users that choose to preview the page, are tripped up by the fact that the preview does not show the added menu item

We should not try to do this in the menu system - someone who really cares can try something in the theme.

I don't think this really makes sense. You are previewing a piece of content not previewing the entire site when it contains that new piece of content. If we went down these lines we'd be updating blocks and all kinds of things to attempt to figure out what affect the new content would have.

Sure it makes sense, you are previewing that what you just done

+1 for this. Users don't really understand the concept of a node as an abstract content element separate from the site in which it will appear. There should be some way to preview what the final appearance of a piece of content will be in the context that users of the site will see it when it's published.

I could not agree more. Being the only guy in IT really steeped in Drupal and the rest are intermittent users, I get this complaint a lot. Especially that preview doesn't always show how block placement will effect content layout. +1
