There were a large quantity of them and were recorded in IRC for requests for deletion.
I kept a log of the #drupal-comments (and #drupal-docs since some people posted requests there), filtered out delete requests, and added it as a list on this book page: http://drupal.org/node/394180.
There are 137 deletion requests to process. This will be too difficult for any one person to do at one time. So, to contribute to this request, please remove the comments that have been processed from the original list and paste it into this list: http://drupal.org/node/394288
Once everything is processed, this issue can be closed.
