I feel bad about posting something that's probably pretty trivial, but I can't get to the bottom of this issue (I'm not a developer, just drawn to Drupal for it's usual ease of use -- and got inspired at DrupalCon this week to convert my WP personal site over to D6 --
Anyway, please have a look at the site I've set up - http://is.gd/mktp - As you'll quickly notice, the blog homepage is the only major issue theme wise (It's the Deco theme, btw). And... the problem only occurs on Page 1 of the blog, if you go over to Page 2, or into a post everything is just dandy.
