Username does not save when content_profile registration is enabled

Hi,

This is something very strange. When a user registers (and content_profile registration is enabled), receives an email for verification and they click on it, they are taken through to the system and that is all good.

The only thing is when they select user/edit, the username field is blank.

Now when admin creates a user, there is no such problem ...

Has anyone seen something like this? Is there perhaps a way to debug this?

It seems the user is active, but username is not saved.

When I disable the content_profile registration, the one-time link works and username is saved.
