Hello all!
I know it is still a devel version and, yet, I decided to give it a try and see if I could be of some help. However, I seem to be lost right at the beginning. When I create my distribution lists and add some users, it all seems fine. I got a message saying the users have been added, but when I access the list again, no users are there. Also, when testing, no mail is sent (being through the test feature or pasting real emails). I cannot see anything in the queue and no error messages to start debugging. It seems I am missing something right on the beginning and I am not able to figure what is it.
Any help is welcome! Thanks!

cesar.brod@gmail.com commentedI am still trying to figure this out, as I cannot see any error other than File does not exist: /var/www/bgchecklist, which doesn't seem to be mailout specific. I have read here and there the php mail function doesnt't work, although I have my php.ini file instructed to use sendmail (the default).
I thought my problem might have been related to the fact I am testing my newsite in a subdirectory of my public_html folder, so I just installed mailout on another site I have, properly hosted on the public_html. Still doesn't work.
As a last attempt, I will install http://drupal.org/project/smtp
Are you guys facing any of these problems? It seems I am missing something that will make me feel real stupid after all :-/
Thanks!
Cesar

simeSimplenews is the best option.
There never was a Drupal 6 release for Mailout. Very close to ending Mailout at 5.

vako commentedI am having the same issue. I find the options and setup of this module much simpler and smarter than the SimpleNews. Yet I hope it will be continued for Drupal 6 at least.
Why give-up on such a needed and great module?? domage!
