Are there any plans to CCKify this module? It would be very useful to have retrieved information mapped to CCK fields for searching, categorizing, etc.

This is a great idea. Alas, Book Post has taken a back seat to several other projects that I'm currently working on. On the to do list is to eventually CCKify Book Post as well as integrate the module better with Drupal's theming capabilities.
