Issue Summary
It would be great if the module would support more than two level menus like:
parent
-child
--child
I tried to find a way, but didn't get it working yet...

It would be great if that feature would be present.

I don't think that if it would be a good idea to add more levels to dynamic persistent menus. Navigation in horizontal menus isn't easy and one level seems to be the maximum to keep them usable. However, if someone create a patch, I can integrate it.

You are right that one level appears to be the maximum to keep them usable -- when I tried it, what little bits of a second horizontal layer that showed up also "jumped" around too much making the menu quite unusable.
Now, I am considering one horizontal persistent layer, followed by a second *non-persistent* vertical dropdown layer: Like the suckerfish dropdowns. Have you tried something like this, and do you think it would be usable? If so, can you give some pointers on how to proceed -- study code from where? -- since I have not done too much in this area (CSS, JS, etc.).

The goal of this module is to provide an horizontal menu. If you want a vertical one, you may want to try Nice Menus | drupal.org.
