Hi, I'm starting to work on a site for my final year project at University for a graphics design course.

My project is a portfolio site for graduates to upload a portfolio / CV / info about themselves after graduation.

Can anyone push me in the right direction to which modules I should look into? Or any other info that could help me design the site.
I'm fairly new to Drupal but at the same time pick up things very quickly as I have worked on other CMS.

So any help would be great guys! Many thanks in advance.

That video isn't quite what I meant when I said portfolio.

I mean a portfolio as in showcasing a designer or artists works/ their biography / skills etc...

The site will also feature a directory of the designers portfolios, and be broken down into catagories. For example

CSS & HTML
Flash
Video editors
etc...

Any help is appreciated.

Hi,

Please be more specific on what you are asking. Portfolio is such a broad thing...
May be you could make a projectplan or something and fill us in on the details. May be there are other portfolio sites which you could look into. Please investigate yourself first more, before asking the community to help. This is just my humble opinion to move you further.

You could think of using CCK, views, panels and looking to build a directory of somekind. There is a directory module, but that also needs work I think. May be you cuold be supportive in that field, or in theming while you have graphical skills. Drupal is desperately in need of great graphical showcase themes!

The project is a directory of designers, broken down into multiple catagories. Depending on the designers specific skills. Such as a web designer / animator / backend site design... etc
Designers will be able to have their own profile broken down into:

* Picture of designer
* About
* Experience
* Showcase of the designers works (Gallery)
* Designers CV

Users must have the ability to search for specific designers also. Eg "Css / php / mySQL"
Hope this clears up what Im looking for.
