Well, I've already posted a request for an explanation of the I-Cal feature for the event module. This request was made long, long ago. Since I have heard nothing in this regard, it would be nice if there was at least a checkbox to enable or disable the ical link on calendar pages. Until I know how to use this feature, it is just a garbage link that will confuse visitors.

I agree that it should be optional, although you can use a theme function to disable the icon.
