My ISP tells me that they can significantly lift my minimum outbound email quota, currently at 200/day to 500/hour, if my system provides log data compliant with their anti-spam policy (which they say is general to the industry via the can-spam act).
The log data they are looking for is:
1) Subscribers to a list must be sent upon subscribing an email with a
tagged link that they had to follow prior to being added to the list
(aka - "opt-in confirmation")
2) All opt-in confirmations must be logged with the date/time and IP address
recorded when they followed your confirmation link.
Is this something this module can do? I've searched this section for the term Opt In and Opt-in but have not found any discussion of this.
thank you

salvisThe opt-in happens when people sign up with your site. You can set this process up in various ways, including sending out a challenge email with the log-in credentials.
Once people have signed up, they manage their own subscriptions. They don't get notifications unless they've subscribed to something. Requiring a challenge email response for every new subscription makes absolutely no sense. There's no such mechanism in Subscriptions and there will never be one.
