User Avatar as link to Picture Upload Form

Your module seems very interesting to me however since I'm not that great with php quite yet, and after having played around with it I have yet to determine whether it can do what I'm looking for - which is:

Wrap the user avatar (when displayed on the user profile page) so that it links to the picture upload form (normally found on the UP edit page). Ideally, this would work in conjunction with an AJAX popup dialog, making it rather effortless for users to change their avatars by simply clicking on their avatar (within the context of their user profile page).

Can your module do this? or could you implement this?
