I recently upgraded to the latest 6.x and found that two themes I had been using now display horribly in IE 6 and IE 7. I'm using Garland as a fall back to News Flash because I thought the problem might be with News Flash, but now I've found I can't get the site to display right even with Garland. It works fine in Chrome and Firefox, but it dumps badly in IE 7. Basically, it's like having no style sheet at all. I checked, and the IE style sheets are in the directory. Any suggestions?

I think it doesn't have to do with upgrading your installation, its simply a theme problem. man IE's really sucks!

I've been back over the upgrade and I'm certain you're right. It's not the upgrade. I'm going through different modules now to see if there is some kind of CSS conflict with the theme CSS. I'm not certain how that could be, but something definitely's going on here. I stopped using IE seven or eight years ago because it was the worst browser on the market back then. It certainly hasn't gotten any better. But, because so many people use it, I need to figure out what to do to fix it.

I checked your website using IE7 and FireFox 3 and your front page looked the same on both pages, apart from two differences: 1) in IE7 the 'go daddy little banner' is displayed before 'SECURED' banner, whereas in FF it is displayed after 'SSL Certificates'. 2) text is generally bolder in IE7.

By the way, IE does not support Full CSS (usage of DIV instead of tables, etc), Garland is a tableless theme, so expect some 'quirks' when using IE but it should be OK generally.

Hmmmm.. your site just went offline now, with a pink box stating some problem with 'theme.maintenance.inc' file

Hello guys..

I have the same problem.

I checked the source of the page in IE. The page wants to read styles from a relevant CSS files. and IE can't read these files.

I'm trying to fix the problem. Any advice?
