Forgive me if this post is in anyway incomplete or in the wrong spot, this is my first issue post.
I run ubercart on several sites (great solution, thank you); one of my sites uses the recurring payment option on purchase of an item. The recurring feature works almost perfectly, however, there are a few problems i'd love help resolving.
1) First payment at checkout includes shipping, subsequent payments do not include shipping
2) When the recurring payment hits the following month, it not only decrements the quantity of the recurring item, but also decrements the inventory of any of the other products that were purchased with the ITEM at the time of checkout.
3) The final item is Order history, the order history does not consistently reflect the recurring orders on the users history view. For example, user 1 will show each month's recurring line item and be billed accordingly, User 2 will be billed correctly, but does not show up in the order history for the user.
I'd be happy to expand on the detail if necessary, but hopefully this is enough to roll with.

rszrama commentedYeah, the recurring module has just been a pain to work with in general. For now, though, discussion on its improvement needs to be on Ubercart.org, perhaps in the development forum, until we can actually isolate specific issues that need to be addressed. Those can then be turned into bug reports / feature requests in the tracker here. The main problem seems to be everyone has a different idea about how recurring fees should be collected and reported.

univate commentedI think 2 and 3 have been taken care of in the current 2.x dev version.
Shipping is a more interesting problem, as are any line items like tax/discounts, since they are designed to be calculated on the order not the product which a recurring fee is.
There is also the problem over not all gateways allowing us to change the amount charged at each renewal (which is potentially required with line items).
I'm going to close this issue, we can open other issues for specific problems.
