I just uninstalled - and re-installed the current 5.x dev to double check and can confirm that the fbconnect logout sequence is now lost.

In the previous dev version it worked: the URL changged to something like http://www.drupalsite/fbconnect/logout and then an ajax popup appeared saying 'you are now logged out of both sites'.

This gives the user the impression that they have logged out of both sites - when in fact they are still logged into facebook.

Just noticed the post to feeds functions are lost also. It appears that although switching to using the facebook FeatureLoader.js file located here: http://static.ak.connect.facebook.com/js/api_lib/v0.4/FeatureLoader.js.php has resolved conflicts with Drupal js autocomplete and calendar, it has broken most facebook connect functionality in 5.x dev
