hovertip to display a teaser, and a 'more' link? [#399932]

I am using the Hovertips module together with Glossary and I have very long descriptions in my Glossary terms. Just wondering if there is a way to make the Glossary hovertips to display a snippet of the Description, and even possibly have a '...more' link on the popup too.

anyone? i thought maybe we could add a tag of some sort to the glossary descriptions, ie this could be our input:

[summary] glossary summary here... [/summary] rest of description here

everything in the 'summary' tag could show on the hovertips, and the whole shabang could appear on the Glossary pages.

for now, im trying to mong together a tag which i can hide in the css. but i am having trouble getting the hovertips to output tags. it only seems to accept link elements. Any header tags, spans, get chewed up in the hovertip markup.
They appear fine on the glossary page, but its the hovertip where i need to display:none the tag.

anyone have any idea of a tag i can use in the hovertip?
