I then proceeded to set the one node where i want a chat. I can set the field but when i return to check the setting it is not set.

I did manage to locate the issue concerning $base_url = 'http://www.permutations.com/drup'; // NO trailing slash! and that is fixed now.

I guess my earlier comments were too nebulous. I'll try again. I am having trouble getting a chat to show on a single node when setting the phpfreechat to "chat per node". The trouble seems to be that when I go to the node and set the chat with the "show chat room" checkbox the setting will not remain when I "save".

Does anyone know what I have done wrong? Have I missed a setting or a code change?

Any help is most appreciated.

Managed to work around the issue of not being able to set one node to be a chat node by creating a new content type called chat_type. All nodes of type chat type will have a chat on them... Still not as flexible as the ability to turn chat on or off
