How can I expand Location by default?

For the sake of usability, I would prefer to use cck location but it seems to have a few shortcomings at the moment and it's not available for user location.

A) CCK locations aren't collapsible.

B) To expand locations by default elsewhere, look under Location settings > Collection Settings. There are two checkboxes for setting collapsible and collapsed-by-default.

dang, that was obvious. Thanks for pointing that out to me, I must have read over that setting to the point of it being invisible to me.

I know this thread should really be in the forum instead of an issue, but so as not to double post, I'll continue here. :p

I don't see the checkboxes you're talking about under Location settings -> Collection Settings. In fact, I don't see Collection Settings at all. I'm running 6.x-3.1-rc1 and my tabs for Location Settings are:

Main Settings
Map Links
Geocoding Options

Am I missing something somewhere?

Was this feature - i.e. the checkboxes to allow (or not) the location box to be expanded by default - taken out of version 3.x of the Location module?

I believe this option has been moved to each individual content type?

It has moved to a per content type basis. Just edit your content type, find the 'locative information' fieldset and look for collect settings.

To find this setting in D6, look under 'Content management' -> 'Content types' -> 'Edit YOUR_CONTENT_TYPE' (admin/content/node-type/YOUR_CONTENT_TYPE)
