I have been using this module for a very large Australian music social web site. Whilst this is still in early build/testing phase, Friendlist has been rock solid.

As a matter of fact I have written many good things about it in various other forums. I have tried User Relationships.module and found it to be very lacking. Especially in the fact that it doesn't integrate with Rules (BTW, Rules ROCKS!!).

So to get more eyeballs and support, push out a beta or alpha and let's get on the road to a 1.0!

I agree davidseth...for me personally there is one major thing holding it back from an official release. And that is the current implementation of friendlist access. See here: http://drupal.org/node/396638, which you already subscribed too ;)

Also, I need to see the new maintainer, Irakli (who has done great things already btw), get involved again as I am merely co-maintaining. I'm trying my best to keep things in order, but there are still a few outstanding issues that need looking at imho.

I'm glad for your excellent feedback though and that you are experiencing great results.

We need to fix all bugs and then we can release even an RC, I think.

Trying to get to it, but if somebody wants to submit patches - that would be awesome :)

Why not make Friendlist Access an additional plug-in module that doesn't ship with the core?

The only bugs I could see were:

http://drupal.org/node/370560 - Relates to Panels which is not released yet so I don't think should block Friendlist

http://drupal.org/node/343035 - This one is a bug and should be fixed. I will have a look into it and see if I can supply a patch.

If we can clear up http://drupal.org/node/343035 that should free you to put out an RC! What do you think?

Hi,

I think getting a release out at this point is critical. I am trying to work through the outstanding bugs. There are no nasties there, but a couple of them are annoying enough to be show-stoppers.
