Create a confirmation page for Delete Contact

Has anyone worked out a way to create a confirmation page for deleting a contact. When deleting a category, this page is displayed...

Delete Confirmation

Delete category 'category name':

Are you sure you want to delete the category and all data associated with it?

I would like to have the same thing appear when deleting a contact to prevent accidentally deleting a contact. This may be difficult because delete and edit are part of the same function.
