Help figuring out how to get immediate "unplished" shading in Adv Forum

Find this mod handy every day!
Noticed a small annoyance though, that has something to do w/how unpublished status is handled in Adv Forum. I've got it working so when I toggle status it works fine but the styling doesn't appear until I reload the page. But I noticed, the styling appears immediately if I unpub something on my front page.
So... can anyone give me clues as to how to get that immedate styling in the Forum? I just don't know enough about how it works to even begin theming it (assuming it's a theming thing)
