Hi everyone,

I'm getting the following error when I try and create a new CCK content type that has an imagefield.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function filefield_default_value() in /sites/all/modules/imagefield/imagefield.module on line 325 on a blank white page.

  • Drupal 6.10
  • CCK 6.x-2.x-dev
  • ImageField 6.x-3.0-alpha4
  • FileField 6.x-3.x-dev
  • Download method is public
  • tmp/images dirs are set to 755

Some other modules installed...I don't know if the error has anything to do with having these modules installed as well.

  • Image 6.x-1.0-alpha4
  • ImageAPI 6.x-1.4
  • Image Browser 6.x-1.0-beta1
  • ImageCache 6.x-2.0-beta8

All of the above modules have been working fine together (except imageField). I just installed imageField to try it out for the first time. I was able to add the field to my CCK content type. I tried two different ways...

  1. Under "Manage Fields" for my CCK content type, I chose "Image" from the -select a field type- dropdown
  2. Under "Manage Fields" for my CCK content type, I chose "File" from the -select a field type- dropdown and "Image" from the dropdown to the right of it.

Both ways produce the same error when I go to create a new node of this content type via Content Management > Create Content.

Thanks for the extensive report. The development versions of FileField and ImageField have changed significantly since the last alphas (I'm putting out new betas this week). You need to update your ImageField version to the latest dev to match the dev release of FileField you're using. See #397578: Uncouple ImageField from FileField Custom Hooks.

Also, ImageField is not very friendly with Image module. As noted on the project page, it's recommended to not use both of them on the same site.

That was it! I updated to the latest devs of fileField and imageField and it's working now.

Buddy I am on the latest dev version of filefield and alpha4 ver of imagefield. I am still getting this error.
Please let me know how to solve this problem or if you could let me have a working module files for imagefield and filefield.( I can't patch those files please please help me)

Maintainer of this thread told me to find the dev of imagefield , found in "view all releases" and that worked and saved me.
anyways, I thank you once again for your efforts.

Could someone explain what's changed here. This is also breaking other modules which relied on that function such as video_upload.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Hi, the same error pops Call to undefined function imagefield_default_value() in ... My site was running smoothly and then I installed LinkImage module and the error started.

It only comes out when creating the node which contains a LinkImage type of field

the funny thing is , if change one of the existing content types to add a LinkImage type of field and modify an existing content it all works smothly, i.e. I can edit with no prob, but I can't create any nodes containing a LinkImage field.

using:

Drupal 6.14
ImageField 6.x-3.0-rc1
FileField 6.x-3.0-rc1
Liink Image Field 6.x-1.0-beta2

Please post your issue in LinkImage. It sounds like it was never updated to work with the final versions of FileField.
