Description

This would be a nice feature to have on really active pages. Just have a link at the top or bottom of the comments which refreshes JUST the comments. This would also be beneficial to podcast or video pages with comments.

Perhaps comments could refresh automatically, without explicitly clicking a link. Comments would simply appear in (sort-of) real-time. Is there a good use case for this?

I wrote a small module which provides comments refresh using ajax (see file). It still has some limitations:

- anonymous users not supported
- only flat comments supported
- page should have at least 1 comment
- no paging
- clean url mandatory, e.g. http://www.mysite/node/4
- .....

Anyway, maybe it is a good start Neochief, which can be incorporated into your module? Credits go to theamoeba for debugging.
