This may be terribly obvious, but I am missing something. I installed quotes on a new site, 6.x, etc. It is a single use site, with, as of now, one quote installed for user 3, Elizabeth.
When viewing the breadcrumb on an actual quote node it looks like this: Home > Quotes > Elizabeth's quotes >
The quote is accessible to anonymous users, as is the page home/quotes ('Quotes' in the breadcrumb). If a user, even a logged in admin user (me) clicks "Elizabeth's quotes" which leads to home/quotes/3 (her user number), Access is Denied.
Why?
This isn't a view, I can't find anything in the access settings that allows or disallows viewing the user quote page (especially for a logged in admin user!). What am I missing? If you want to see the puzzle in action, go to http://butterflybirth.com and click the title of the poem on the front page.
thanks,
Maria

nancydruI don't see a poem on the front page. As a matter of fact, there is no Quotes page available to me,

nancydruAs an anonymous user on my site, I am not seeing a problem going to "quotes/3" but I am getting access denied on "user/3/quotes," which I should. You did grant "access quotes" permission? You might try clearing the cache.
