Every time someone posts a blog, it goes to the front page, then I have to move it, then they can't edit it?
I looked through the permissions and can't find anyhting about front page posts...
How can I restrict front page posting?

administer -> content types
edit the blog content type
expand the publishing options collapsed menu
uncheck promote to front page
save the form

blogs will now no longer be published to the front page.

do this for every content type you don't want promoted by default.
