Content columns need to wrap new region added

Hi Jeff -
First, Newswire is a fantastic theme, perfect for my needs - you should be proud!

Since I have heavily customized it, this inquiry may be out of scope for your support, but here is what I hope to achieve:

* I've removed some regions and added others, the .info now looking like this:

regions[leaderboard] = Leaderboard
regions[suckerfish] = Suckerfish menu
regions[utility] = Utility
regions[graphic] = Graphic
regions[content_top] = Content top (750px)
regions[left] = Left (col 1)
regions[main_content_top] = Main Content top (col 2 top)
regions[content] = Main Content (col 2)
regions[main_content_bottom] = Main Content bottom (col 2 bottom)

The graphic forces the $Left column down, and I would like to have the other columns "float up" under the Suckerfish menus.

I've tried everything, but no luck - thoughts or suggestions off the top of your head?
