In Firefox and Safari the catagory bar rolls to the second line if there is not enough room to display all the catagories. In IE it does not roll to the next line.

The problem is that white letters on a white background dont work. In Safari you can see part of the letter's edges too... A Mac user pointed it out to me and was whining about compatability... :/

If it is going to roll to a second line, the blue bare should be created too so that it remains consistant. Personally, I actually prefer the IE behaviour.

I am not sure how to correct this issue. It can be duplicated on drigg.org by reducing window size of the browsers in question.

Thanks

I cannot reproduce this on my Mac using Firefox 3.5beta or Safari 4.0 by shrinking the browser window when viewing drigg.org.

Can you post screenshots?

Perhaps you can use fewer categories so they don't wrap to the next line.

Attached is screen shot form Safari demonstrating the behavior

There is not an easy fix for this from a coding and design standpoint so I'm marking it as "won't fix".

The best thing I can recommend is trying to simplify your categories. I say this because I think it will improve usability for your site and it will resolve this problem you are having. It might be easier than you think now that there are sub-categories (#207084: How to display subcategories below the category in the header?).

If you want to create a patch we can consider it, but this isn't a high priority since the majority of users will never require it.

Another possibility is creating a new theme for your site.

Good luck! Sorry I cannot provide you more help.
