I decided to try inline as I thought it would make life simpler than my usual
<div class="floatleft"><a href="http://www.homepcpatrol.com/win-anti-virus-icon-1" target="_blank"><img src="images/icon2_thumbnail.jpg" alt="Win Anti Virus Icon 1" width="100" height="92"><br>Win Anti Virus Icon </a></div><p>
So I installed Inline and it all appears to be configured correctly; however, it double posts attached images as can be seen here:

The page markup is simply:
The newest trend in spyware, fraudware, and viruses is the look alike virus. It attempts to mimic trusted sources such as Windows Security Center. Their images are very convincing as you will see throughout this article and unless you recognize the very subtle variations, it is easy to mistake them for their real counterparts. We at Home PC Patrol have compiled many of the images that we have encountered throughout our time spent battling this virus and have posted many examples of them here. For the purpose of keeping this article consise, we have reduced the images within the article to thumbnails; however, you may simply click the thumbnail or caption to load the full sized original.

I just don't understand why the image is inserted initially above the text and then again at the inline point... maybe I am over thinking this, or maybe I am just an idiot; but any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

I figured this out and am posting the solution in case anyone else ever experiences this. It was a simple fix and much due to my mis interpeting something that 'appeared' to be part of the Inline module. Under Content types, the last section is "Workflow". Within that section is an option "Display attachments inline automatically:
Disabled
Only in teaser
Only in body
In teaser and body "
Seeing the word "inline" made me think that it should be set to "In teaser and body"; however, this should actually be set to "Disabled" or it will double post the image you are trying to add.
Again, this was my mistake.
