Drop-down, fly out menu conversion

I am having difficulty with the menus feature. I want a drop-down fly out like Nice Menus but it is not working with Tapestry. i can't get a horizontal menu with drop downs and fly outs, only a vertical menu. I previously had my own menu so either I need a nice menu patch or a conversion for my own menu. I am new to drupal and don't know how to configure it to pull from my primary links in drupal.
