Sometimes, when I create a table, I can't really tell how many columns I will need. I can guess.. and I do that a lot, but invariably, something comes up in the future where I need another column.

so.. it would really be nice if you could add a column, as well as add a row.

Yeah this is base functionality which will be in branch 2.x as I've actually written that part already - I've just not got it to a stage where I'm completely happy with it yet to release it to the public. Problem always is that, no matter how much you warn people what a development snapshot is they'll still use it expecting it to be a finished project. This issue queue is full of people doing exactly this, thinking the module is full of bugs when in reality it's because I haven't written half the things they're complaining about.
