There have been many-a-time where I've loaded a cached page that should have been re-fetched, but wasn't, due to drupal's default cache policy.
In many cases, I need to do a "shift-reload" in firefox to get a new version of a page -- "reload" isn't sufficient. This is very confusing, and for the large numbers of users out there that don't know about "shift reload", could be extremely frustrating.
The place I personally run into this the most is with access denied pages -- you hit one, then you log in, then you go back to the page: access denied. You press reload: access denied.

Wesley Tanaka commentedfirefox 1.0.6 linux, since it probably matters a lot.

dandaka commentedI call it 'excessive', especially when I edit page and Drupal loads outdated version in textfield.
