Hello,
We're currently using Drupal to manage our listing of industry events for the UK digital media scene, plus a few other select international events which are relevant to our audience (http://www.chinwag.com/events).
Yup, before you say anything, it's a bit of a mess, hence the need to find top examples of event calendars that use Drupal. I've found an old post - http://drupal.org/node/134930 - that refers to one site, but I figure this is a common requirement and there must be some ace examples:
I'd love to see any examples, go on, show off your fine work!
Ideally, I'd like to put something together that has a UI as easy-to-use as http://sched.org and the functionality of http://www.trumba.com (look at the lovely 'add to calendar' buttons) with the ability for our users to add their own events once they have been approved by our editorial team.
So, hit me, what's the best event listings that you have built/seen?
Any suggestions much appreciated. Many thanks.

D5 events calendar
Example of events using calendar module in D5. My client:

I would advise making sure the body area of the page is wider, so the name of events aren't so squished... This client will be redesigning in not too distant future so we're stuck with narrow site at the moment. Also pretty slow host (GoDaddy).

Wide Columns
Thanks @TimeBandit, looks nice. Nifty CSS work there.
I'm also struggling with the wide column issue, not quite sure of the best approach, although I love what the guys at http://sched.org have done with their UI. It's very wide, but seems to be easy to navigate. Plus they have produced an iPhone version which works well - been using it at SXSW conference.
