Very basic question...Do not know how to access certain modules and create content with them

vandiablo - March 19, 2009 - 00:18

I have created some content under the create content section, but for certain modules like "countdown" I am having a hard time figuring out how to use them once installed....Ive enabled them, all permissions are set on, so how do I access the abilities of the module if it doesnt display in the create content portion of the site..I cannot even find this enabled module in the site configuration section...Thank you so much

You will be better off

You will be better off researching one module at a time. They are all different. The Countdown module creates a block, you can find it in Administer -> Site Building -> Blocks.

Hope this helps.

Usually modules come packaged

Usually modules come packaged with some README.txt and/or INSTALL.txt file, some help in the admin/help page, and sometimes the also have a documentation link in their project page at drupal.org.

In the case of the countdown module, its INSTALL.txt file and the introductory text in its project page say that it creates a block which you can place in a sidebar or in some other region.
