Certainly not a major issue, but the shopping cart block (and the shopping cart icon) has issues in Internet Explorer 8. There are little shopping cart icons in random places So far, not a big fan of IE8, or IE in general... but just putting this out there as it's being released soon.

Are you sure it's not just an issue with your theme? I've tried it with all of the core themes, and it looks alright to me. Of course, they may have just fixed something before I downloaded IE 8, too.

I got similar issue too. It works ok with "IE8 Compatibility View" but not IE8 mode. The Theme I use is Zen Theme.

There's a patch posted at #413930: Shopping Cart Block Display Issue in IE8. Basically it changes "inline-block" to "inline". Make sure it works on your themes.
