Description

I'm trying to remove Private Upload and I can't find a way to remove the private directory on the server because the owner is 99 and not my FTP user. There doesn't seem to be any uninstall options after disabling the module.

Any advice?

I resolved the problem. I was able to go into the cPanel File Manager on my web host and delete the files and folders from there. Apparently uid/gid 99 means user "nobody" and is controlled by PHP. I read something like that somewhere and it lead to my stumbling upon the solution.

Actually, I was wrong. The files and folders came back, even when I tried to delete them from the File Manager on my web host.

I've long since removed the module, but how can I remove the folders that are left behind?

A user with the proper permissions is needed to delete them.
