Hello, I am building a D6 site and having trouble installing the Arabic po file.
I visit admin/settings/language/add choose Arabic and click the "Add Language" button
I am redirected to /admin/settings/language. Arabic is checked as "enabled" and I receive the "The language Arabic has been created and can now be used..." message.
However, when I visit /admin/build/translate Arabic's Built-in interface lists a translation rate of 0/4048 (0%).
I have followed what I believe to be a similar process for French and received much better results. If anyone has any insight into what I did wrong, I'd be very grateful.
Thank you.

nonprofit commentedHi, just checking in; has anyone else had a similar experience with the install?
I did upload the .tar to the server and extract. Rate jumped to the low 30's. That's better, but nowhere near the 99.9% that I've read about.
Thanks! -NP

alaa commentedthat's because the Drupal 6 translation is not complete. the low 30%s is where it's at.
I've just merged a batch of new translations, it'll give u a better rate but beware the translations have not been reviewed at all and may cause problems.

allamiro commentedYes I had the same problem I would probably go to Drupal 5.18 again Drupal should have some support for different languages as Joomla does
Its very important that drupal reach globaly.
I will use the drupal 5 again
