Issue Summary

I use Content Taxonomy heavily on my site. If VBO could update that field at the same time as Taxonomy, that would be amazing.

Are you referring to the "Modify node taxonomy terms" action?

After some thought, this functionality can be achieve using the 'Modify node fields' action. So I won't fix it here.
