Issue Summary

Hey there,

when creating a backup (automatically or manual), the files have a size of 0 bytes and I geht the following error in the log:

Typ access denied

For some reason, the manual backup worked in december, when I first installed the site.

When now creating a backup, the files are created in the correct directory, but have zero size. I can verify this via FTP.

Thanks for your support.

I have aditional information:

1) the filesize doesn't depend on the compression method. Even with no compression, the files are empty.

2) when I select "download file" instead of "save file", the files are empty, too, but there is now error message in the log.

I'm using mySQL 5.0.67 and PHP 5.2.9

Are there any errors in your webserver logs?

#3

There are, but they are not helpful, in my opinion:

[Sat Apr  4 13:05:33 2009] [error] [client 213.133.104.27] client denied by server configuration: /usr/www/users/fwrbib/sites/default/files/backup_migrate/manual/test.txt

I deletet the .htaccess-files in /sites/default/files and /sites/default/files/backup_migrate to see, if it is a permission problem, but nothing changed.

I guess, if this yould be a permission problem, the files wouldn't even be created on the server, but they are.

No, those errors are normal behavior. That's the results of the module doing a self test to ensure that the backup files are not remotely readable.

This seems to be the same problem as #263015: Backup files are empty

I'm marking this as duplicate and redirecting conversation there where hopefully somebody who can reproduce this will be able to figure out what's going on.
