There is currently an existent highslide module for D5.x that appears to be unmaintained, as there are two requests to take over maintenance of the project (one of which is my own, the other has been retracted), with no response from the current maintainer. The original request is over a month old. The module as it stands does not make use of imagefield and imagecache, and uses other less preferred methods for implementing the zooming functionality.

I don't currently have a CVS account, and according to this page, would not be granted one by requesting to take over the existent module through the CVS application form, and instead directs me to this issue queue to request for an account and to take over maintaining the module.

I would like to update this module to implement Highslide JS (an image zooming tool) on imagefield fields for D6.x. This module allows for creation of multiple CCK field formatters that determine which imagecache preset to use for the thumbnail and full views of the image. The javascript degrades gracefully, using jQuery to callback the highslide functionality.

My d6.x version of the Highslide module can be found at dev.sprocketwork.com/modules/highslide/highslide.tar.gz

I would like to take over maintaining the original highslide module, and offer this up as a D6.x version, in order to avoid cluttering the Drupal Contrib name space (hall of shame anyone?). If this is not preferred, I would like to start a new project, renaming this module to highslide_imagefield.module

Thanks
