Searching for events - unexpected date crtiteria

In the 'search' form for events, the default start and end dates are set very narrow (something like 2 days window). This has the effect of omitting events that would otherwise match if you performed a simple search on 'Location' for example. I propose to change the default years for these 2 dates to include a much wider range (+- 5 years from current year).
