It would be great if the filter could be specified in the URI and/or the query string. Currenlty, only the query string appears to work. Further, it would be good if this functionality were tied to the admin--> use clean url's option. This would have the added benefit of making these URLs "aliasable".

For clean URL use..node_type_list module..

@chaos21in: I don't see a node_type_list module anywhere.
@Matt: Any ideas on how this could be done? How could the URI be modified without messing up the Drupal menu system?
